Kindergarten transition

The transition program will offer a range of activities to help your pre-schooler:

Feel welcome and comfortable within the school                                                          

Become familiar with the school environment and the layout of the school       

Get to know other children who will be in Kindergarten next year and develop new friendships                                                                                                      

Develop friendships with students in Year 5 who will become their Year 6 buddies in 2019                                                                                                                             

Get to know the staff at Blackheath Public School                                                 

Help determine whether your child is ready to start school in 2019

Feel confident about starting school 

Spend time in a classroom and get to know how it looks and what it feels like being at school                                                                                                              

See our fabulous music program at work

Become familiar with the library      

Meet our Cafe manager and see our school kitchen at work. 

Parents will also have many opportunities to develop new friendships and get to know the other families starting Kindergarten.
