Festival of Instrumental Music Concert (FOIM)

Final recorder rehearsal and evening concert at the Opera House.

Each child will need to bring:

their Opal card with $5 on it

a packed lunch and plastic water bottle

their instrument!

We will have lunch in the Botanical Gardens before commencing the rehearsal at 12:30pm. The rehearsal will conclude at 3:15pm. On this occasion, organisers request plastic drink bottles due to the noise of metal bottles in the theatre. Parents will meet their child either at the conclusion of the rehearsal, at 3.15pm, or at 5:00pm outside the ‘Playhouse’ located on the ‘Western Broadwalk’ (see map - to be sent separately). Students staying with Ms Bishop until 5:00pm will spend time in the Botanical Gardens. Please collect children promptly at 5pm. Parents will be responsible for organising dinner for their child.

The evening performance will commence at 7:00pm. Students will meet me outside the ‘Playhouse’ at 6.30pm ready to perform.

At the conclusion of the concert, around 9.30pm, parents are to collect their child again from outside the ‘Playhouse’. Parents will be responsible for transporting their child home from the Opera House. It would be appreciated if you could be prompt in picking the children up as I will need to get to Central for a train home.
