The Canteen team of Paul, Alison and Kath have hit the floor running this term with an incredible increase in orders. We have already been working hard to provide regular lunch orders and new specials for our student body. We feel like we are achieving the right mix of nutritious but enticing dishes with the Autumn/Winter menu still going down well.
We are very grateful that parents are utilising Compass as much as they do. We are still getting a lot of orders over the counter as well, which makes us happy as Alison, Kath and Paul always like interacting with those parents that can come into the school and, of course, our students.
The Athletics Carnival went well, and the Canteen crew would like to thank our volunteers for their hard work: Nicole Loes, Rick Webb, the two Katoomba High students Ginger and Sage, our Year 6 helpers plus a massive thank you to Brad Carmady for manning the BBQ all day. Congrats also to all those students who took part in events.
The Canteen have installed two bins for the collection of the Chill J drink bottles. We will be taking them down to the Return & Earn points to recycle them.
We always want to thank the volunteers that help us on a regular basis: Bron, Tara, Chris, Lais, Elena and Dyani. We honestly couldn’t do it without them. We have a lot of extra activities coming up in the next two months and any assistance, no matter how small, would be much appreciated.
